Vibe OptiSound OPTIMOST25-V4 MOST25 to Optical SPDIF Audio Interface
Premium factory systems in many Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo and Land Rover models send their music around the car as a digital MOST25 data stream over fibre optic cable, so there is no analogue speaker signal for a normal amplifier or DSP to pick up. The OPTIMOST25-V4 taps into that stream, finds the music signal automatically and outputs it as a lossless stereo SPDIF signal on an optical (Toslink) connection, ready for the digital input of an aftermarket DSP or DSP amplifier. Your factory volume, balance and tone controls keep working. In BMWs where MOST25 components are serial-number protected, its built-in SDMI25 function reads and copies the serial number of the replaced component and logs onto the MOST bus automatically. It replaces the discontinued Match SDMI25.
For BMW Harman Kardon and Logic 7 systems we pair it with a Match UP 10DSP MK2 and the PP-BMW 1.9HK+SDMI harness. Ask us if you are not sure which parts your car needs.
