Micro Precision 3.16 MK III
The 3.16 MK III is the 6.5″ bass-midrange driver from Micro Precision’s 3 Series, made in Germany. The 3 Series is their best-value range, and the MK III is the current generation, with an anodised aluminium cone that is stiff, light and built for universal use.
It has 89.4 dB sensitivity, a 54 Hz resonance and a 65 mm mounting depth with a 145 mm cut-out, so it suits most standard door locations. It also works well in a small enclosure: Micro Precision’s own data shows it in a 20 litre vented box.
Pair it with the 3.28 tweeter for a complete 3 Series front stage.
