Helix IK ES10.1-DVC2 MK2
The Helix IK ES10.1-DVC2 MK2 puts proper bass into places a normal subwoofer won’t go. Its exceptionally flat downfire ported enclosure is only 135 mm tall, made for hidden spots such as under a double boot floor. Firing into the floor uses the car itself to reinforce the bass and keeps the driver protected.
Inside is the shallow-mount 10″ / 250 mm Helix IK S10-DVC2 driver with a heavy-duty dual voice coil and a rigid sandwich paper cone, port-tuned to 37 Hz. Flat boxes need extra care to stop them vibrating, so the driver’s magnet is bolted to the enclosure’s back panel as extra stiffening. It handles 300 W RMS and Helix recommend 150 to 300 W of amplifier power. The dual voice coils can be set at the terminal to 1 x 1 Ohm for a monoblock, 1 x 4 Ohm for a bridged channel pair, or 2 x 2 Ohm for a multichannel DSP amplifier.
New in the MK2 version, it is ISM-ready. Swap the passive terminal for the optional Helix Impact ISM 400.2DSP subwoofer module and it becomes an active subwoofer with its own amplifier and DSP (also available from us as a complete kit). The new plug-in terminal also takes standard speaker cable on screw terminals or a Molex plug, so it is quick to remove when you need the boot space.
