Helix IK ER8.2-DVC2 MK2
The Helix IK ER8.2-DVC2 MK2 is a round, shallow ported subwoofer designed to sit in the spare wheel well, so you get serious bass without losing boot space.
Two flush-mounted 8″ / 200 mm Helix IK W8 drivers with hand-scooped paper cones give it real punch. It handles 600 W RMS, Helix recommend 150 to 600 W of amplifier power, and the port is tuned to 41 Hz. At the terminal it can be set to 1 x 1 Ohm for a monoblock, 1 x 4 Ohm for a bridged channel pair, or 2 x 2 Ohm for a multichannel DSP amplifier.
New in the MK2 version, it is ISM-ready. Swap the passive terminal for the optional Helix Impact ISM 400.2DSP subwoofer module and it becomes an active subwoofer with its own amplifier and DSP. The new plug-in terminal takes standard speaker cable on screw terminals or a Molex plug, and a mounting kit is included to secure it in the wheel well.
