The Ci5 M80FM-D3 CTR is a 3.15″ / 80 mm centre speaker from Helix’s Compose i5 range, built as an audiophile broadband driver for the centre channel of a high-quality multi-way system. It’s supplied as a single speaker.

Its key feature is a second, separate voice coil for the car’s automatic emergency call (eCall): one coil carries the music, the other keeps the factory eCall connection working. That means the original centre speaker can be replaced with a proper hi-fi driver without losing an essential vehicle function. It handles 90 W RMS (135 W max), runs at 2 x 3 Ohms, has a sensitivity of 87 dB at 2.83 V and covers 200 Hz to 16,000 Hz.

A silicon-coated paper cone gives natural, well-damped sound, an aluminium dustcap lifts the upper midrange, and a push-pull neodymium magnet keeps distortion very low. A narrow surround allows a large linear excursion while making the speaker smaller than a typical 80 mm driver (78.5 mm outer diameter, 30.1 mm deep), so it fits tight factory locations. Two universal FlexMount80 rings and a CFM80-100 adaptor (for Helix’s optional FlexMount100 vehicle rings) are included, and the FlexConnect terminal plugs into the factory harness or optional WireKits.
